MADRID — 15 de septiembre de 2011 — With the creation of three new geographical groups with the Western European area AMD wants to make sure to be able to respond and manage to retail channels sales´ needs while leveraging countries commonalities, consumer purchasing habits and buying cycles.
Toby Williams is in charge for Northern Europe (UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland), Gabriele Rentocchini is responsible for Southern Europe (Italy, Iberia and France) while Mario Silveira oversees Central Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Benelux).Silveira also handles MSH International and the EMEA Extended Sales Force of AMD. All three of them will directly report into Sergio Ceresa, Vice President, Sales – Consumer Accounts, EMEA who oversees all AMD consumer sales activities in the EMEA region and is responsible for the set up of the AMD consumer sales team.
Mario Silveira (36) joined AMD 8 months ago and was Sales Manager for Samsung Electronics before. Silveira is based in Munich.
Toby Williams (41), based in London, served as Business Development Manager Consumer Electronics and Area Sales for Logitech before joining AMD late last year.
Gabriele Rentocchini (36) worked for HP as Category Manager Consumer PC Product Marketing and Enterprise Business Manager before joining AMD in 2010. Rentocchini is based in Milan.
Additionally Maik Matischak (39) joined AMD as the new Consumer PR lead for the EMEA regions. Prior to AMD Matischak was Senior International PR Manager for EA SPORTS based in Geneva and the Director of Communications of the NFL Europe in Frankfurt. Maik Matischak will be based in the AMD headquarter in Munich.

Ramón Abad, Senior Business Development Consumer Manager for AMD Iberia will work directly with the responsible of Southern Europe (Italy, Iberia and France), Gabriele Rentocchini. As responsible for Sales and Marketing for the retail channel, Ramón works directly with the retailers and manufacturers to enhance presence of AMD in the Iberian market.
As BD Corporate Manager, Alejandro Ruíz Bueno, develops the relationship with the public administration, the main OEMs and multinational customers. Thanks to its high level of management he provides AMD complete solutions aligned with their business needs.
Juan Antonio Álvaro is, since February 2011, the Sales Manager for Components in AMD Iberia with the role of increasing the presence of AMD with the channel partners, local distributors and PC integrators.
